Healthy... Green Juices

Green juices, they have become intense popular this year. But what is so special about these juices?
A green juice is a combination of fruits and vegetables. I recommend to use fresh vegetables, because they contain more vitamins and minerals than cooked vegetables.
Besides the vitamins, green juices also contain lots of fiber. Fiber is important for proper bowel function and provide a feeling of fullness. For people who want to lose weight,  fibers are very important in the diet. Especially vegetables like broccoli, red cabbage and green beans are high in fiber.
Green leafy vegetables provide protein, vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and minerals. They contain substances that can not be found in any other type of vegetable. Because the leafy vegetables will be finely blended, your body can adapt the vitamins immediately so you will get a real boost. And that is very good for you: your skin will become more beautiful, you will lose fat, it reduces the tendency to overeating and it helps you to sleep better. Just try it if you haven't already!

3-day Green Juice Detox

  • Drink between 4 and six juices and four glasses of filtered water each day.
  • Avoid all solid food and do a low to moderate rate of exercise, like walking the dog, 20 minutes on the cross trainer or Yoga.
  • On the fourth day, don't jump straight back into solid food. Eat plenty of fruit, vegetables, lean protein and brown rice, combined with juices until you're system feels back to normal.
